Counselors Are Critical in Guiding Students Toward College
“High school counselors play a big role in setting students' sights on higher educational attainment,” says a story in Education Week. Counselors identify college access as the area in which they most need additional training.

SREB’s College and Career Counseling Initiative helps train counselors with practical tools to advise students, especially those who would be first-generation college students. Participating states: Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah.
