Increasing transparency in financial accounting for the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

My research interests include financial accounting and reporting for public, private, governmental and nonprofit entities. I have published articles that examine the relationship between the voluntary disclosure strategies of US cross-listed firms and analysts’ earnings forecast accuracy and dispersion. The research attempts to identify benefits of increased disclosure in light of the costs of disclosing proprietary information to users of financial reports.

Dr. Cynthia Taylor is a commissioner for the City of Little Rock’s Racial and Cultural Diversity Commission. She works in the community as a mentor for the Northwood Middle School Girls Rock program. She extends her passion for working with children by mentoring students in the McNair Summer Research program.
