Reduce Your Losses: Help New Teachers Become Veteran Teachers

Why do so many teachers leave the classrooms within the first few years of their careers? The retention of beginning and newly hired teachers is a major step toward resolving teacher shortages and building a more experienced pool of teachers. This publication looks at SREB states’ efforts to retain beginning teachers.
