Based on research and meetings with leaders in SREB states during their legislative sessions, the State Services staff provides Legislative Reports on the most recent governors' proposals, bills and funding for education in the member states. State Services also works closely with SREB's Legislative Advisory Council, a group of legislators and delegates from all SREB states. The Council meets several times each year to examine key issues in member states, including guiding SREB's Legislative Work Conference, the nation's oldest annual legislative forum on education issues.
