Mary Elizabeth Mira joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2013 as a research associate to the organization’s Benchmarking College- and Career-Readiness Standards project, where she brings more than five years of experience working on issues of education research and policy in the public education sector. While at SREB, she has contributed to the project’s data collection, analysis and reporting. In 2014, she was promoted to assistant director. Prior to joining SREB, Mary Elizabeth served as a Harvard strategic data project fellow with Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. Mary Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s in anthropology from the College of William & Mary and a master’s in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
