Literacy Consultant, School Improvement
Pam Purcell joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2014 as a literacy consultant, where she brings more than 11 years of classroom teaching experience. While at SREB, Pam has developed and co-developed numerous training sessions as well as presented the Literacy Design Collaborative to teachers throughout Mississippi and North Carolina. She also assisted in writing the Literacy Design Collaborative and incorporating it into Advance Career programs. Prior to joining SREB, she was a middle school language arts teacher, a school leader for an English language arts department and leader for the Universal Design for Learning and the University of Kansas writing programs at the county level. Pam holds a bachelor’s in education and a master’s in communicating in contemporary culture from Notre Dame of Maryland University.
