Profile

Pamela Broome joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2015 as a literacy consultant to the Literacy Design Collaborative team, where she brings more than 23 years of experience in education. In addition, she serves as an education consultant who provides SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) training to various schools and districts throughout the United States. Prior to SREB, Pamela was a district curriculum coordinator who served multiple K-12 urban, Title I schools in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this capacity, she provided curriculum support, professional development, and coaching to teachers and administrators focused on professional learning communities. She also worked as a high school assistant principal, elementary and middle school facilitator and secondary English language arts instructional specialist. Pamela taught various grades across K-12 and served as a community college adjunct instructor. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s in school administration.
