Graduates — The First 100
This publication salutes the first 100 graduates of the SREB Doctoral
Scholars Program. The program, which was established in 1993, is designed to
help more minorities receive Ph.D.s and become faculty members at colleges and
universities. The SREB program provides many layers of support, encouragement
and preparation. This report showcases some of the 100 “success stories” and
shares their insights into what the Doctoral Scholars Program has meant to them.
