High Schools That Work Subscription Service

USA Today described High Schools That Work as the “most ambitious and most successful dissemination” of vocational and academic integration in the nation. SREB Senior Vice President Gene Bottoms received the Harold W. McGraw Jr. Prize in Education for his leadership of the program. More than 1,200 high school sites in 32 states are implementing the HSTW proven practices for raising the achievement of career-bound high school students.

This subscription service is a convenient, inexpensive way to keep up-to-date on new developments as schools and states improve the academic and career/technical skills of career-bound students. Subscribers receive the same new publications, conference and forum announcements, and information provided to members of High Schools That Work.

This service is a way to link your agency, school or school district into a network of states and schools that are making dramatic progress in the way they prepare career-bound youths for success at work and in further education.

The High Schools That Work subscription service provides:

  • guides for planning and implementing HSTW in local schools and districts;
  • research reports on progress in improving student achievement;
  • Outstanding Practices, an annual publication of successful strategies from High Schools That Work sites;
  • Update newsletters on the progress of High Schools That Work sites and students;
  • announcements of the annual Staff Development Conference and other staff development activities.
