Case Study – Los Fresnos High School, Los Fresnos, Texas
When the Texas Education Agency classified Los Fresnos High School — where
more than 70 percent of the students are considered "at risk" — as a

leaders got serious about whole-school improvement. By following the High
Schools That Work key practices, the school has made tremendous strides and
has been selected by the U.S. Department of Education as a New American High
School.
