Grades Students Need to Know and Be Able to Do

When students leave the middle grades, they need to have the knowledge and
skills to succeed in college-preparatory/honors science. This report provides
guidance for a rigorous science curriculum in the middle grades that is based on
a solid set of standards. Educators can use this framework in developing course
syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, assessments and professional development
activities that prepare students for this level of work.
