HSTW Technical Assistance Guide for Team Members: Improving the reading, mathematics and science competencies of career/technical students

Technical assistance visits work with teachers, counselors and administrators to help them identify changes needed to achieve the High Schools That Work goal of improved student achievement through the blending of high-level academic and career/technical studies. This guide explains what is expected of technical assistance team members and how these visits help schools make significant strides in raising expectations for student performance, revising what and how students are taught, changing how the school relates to students and how students relate to one another, and using data to drive continuous school improvement.
