An Agricultural Education Report Card: Data from Assessment is a Call for Action

by Jeri Omernik - May 2005

This report looks at data from the 2004 High Schools That Work (HSTW) Assessment, specifically in relation to agricultural students. Ann Benson presented assessment data from the NAEP concentration during the 2004 National Association of Agricultural Educators' Convention.

The test results were disappointing. Omernik describes teachers' reactions and suggests ways to strengthen academic achievement in the career/technical field of agriculture.
