Curriculum and Faculty Development in Community-based Care: School Nurses and Nurse Educators Collaborate

This report summarizes the activities of a regional project — six workshops and a regional conference — and consensus-building related to expected competencies of school nurses and curriculum guidelines for nurse educators. It describes collaborative arrangements between school nurses and nurse educators that help to ensure graduates’ preparation for entry-level positions as school nurses. The Helene Fuld Health Trust, HSBC Bank USA, Trustee, provided funding for the regional project.
