ATLANTA, GA – The Southern Regional Education Board, a non-profit organization that works with states, policymakers and educators to improve public education at every level, will hold two major annual conferences between July 11 and 16, 2016, in Louisville, Kentucky.

The two education-focused conferences are expected to draw thousands of attendees from more than 30 states. The schedules include:

  • July 11-13: Fourth Annual College- and Career-Readiness Standards Networking Conference
  • July 13-16: 30th Annual HSTW Staff Development Conference

“The SREB conferences connect educators to strategies that work,” said Gene Bottoms, SREB senior vice president. “SREB offers a unique opportunity for academic and career and technical education (CTE) teachers, counselors, principals, district leaders, community college leaders, state education department administrators and policymakers to create dramatic and sustainable school improvement through a shared and coordinated effort.”

The Fourth Annual College- and Career-Readiness Standards Networking Conference empowers teachers to lead the way in student achievement. Teachers and leaders are introduced to proven strategies that will enable more students to meet the standards.

The 30th Annual HSTW Staff Development Conference provides innovative, proven strategies that will prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in school and the 21st-century workplace.

SREB is the only organization of its kind that nurtures districtwide and schoolwide team development and team-wide strategic planning on site. SREB trains these teams with best practices, curriculum design, new teaching and career counseling strategies, and more.
