Announcing Two Conference Highlights
The Council on Collegiate Education for Nursing is excited to announce the keynote speaker for the 2017 Annual Meeting. Dr. Patricia Davidson, dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, will deliver the Keynote Address. Dr. Davidson joined Johns Hopkins University in September 2013. She will address the topic of achieving transformation while managing transition. The keynote will kick off the program on Monday, November 13, 2017.
CCEN President Tara Hulsey has invited Dr. Kylie Smith, Mellon Faculty Fellow for Nursing and the Humanities at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, to present her study on the history of psychiatric nursing in the South, featuring the prominent role of CCEN in the 1950’s and 1960’s when the field was in its infancy. Dr. Smith will speak on the legacy of your colleagues on Sunday afternoon, and you won’t want to miss the stories she will share.
