School Improvement Leadership Coach
Katherine Schadewald assists schools and districts in the development and implementation of Career Pathways. She joined SREB’s Making Schools Work team in 2014, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the public education sector. She was a Career Technical Education (CTE) teacher in New York State, teaching Machine Shop, Occupational Math and Science for 15 years before supervising curriculum and instruction school-wide. As Executive Director of the CTE Resource Center Katherine significantly increased New York’s CTE program approval. Recently, working with teams of writers, Katherine developed three Advanced Career programs comprising 70 projects. She is past president of the New York State Association of Career and Technical Education for Administrators.
Katherine holds a bachelor’s in vocational education from Oswego College and a master’s and certificate of advanced study in curriculum and instruction from the State University of Albany. She lives in New York.
