Senior School Improvement Instructional Coach
Kathleen McNally is a senior school improvement instructional coach at SREB, where she works with technical centers and school districts to operationalize the Making Schools Work Key Practices. In previous roles, she served as a mathematics teacher in middle grades schools, high schools and CTE settings; as associate director of training for the national SkillsUSA organization; and as a CTE teacher educator in Penn State University’s Workforce Education and Development Program.
Kathleen’s current work includes leading a pilot effort in West Virginia to redefine middle school teaching and learning to empower students. She also works with faculties on efforts to integrate academic and CTE instruction, create Simulated Workplace environments for CTE programs and implement project-based learning instructional and planning approaches. Recently, she co-authored a series of handbooks for CTE teachers in collaboration with colleagues at NOCTI and the Association for Career and Technical Education.
