Profile

Shannon Stanley joined SREB in August 2019 as a school improvement leadership coach. She brings over 25 years of experience in public education, serving as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent of K-8 Instruction, deputy superintendent of teaching and learning, and superintendent. She also serves as an adjunct professor in teacher leadership for Jacksonville State University, and works with Alabama’s aspiring and new superintendents as a facilitator for the University of Alabama Superintendent’s Academy.

Shannon holds a Ph.D. in instructional leadership, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor of Science degrees in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Alabama. She resides in Boaz, Alabama.
