School Improvement Leadership Coach
Tresha (Layne) Northcutt is a School Improvement Leadership Coach for the Southern Regional Education Board. In this role, Tresha serves leaders of schools, districts, and states by providing technical assistance, professional learning sessions, and implementation coaching for initiatives that improve the educational opportunities and economic vitality of the SREB service region. Her areas of specialty include career pathway development and content-focused literacy. She previously worked as a middle and high school English teacher, high school principal, district academic coach, university new teacher supervisor, director of professional learning, and CTE executive director.
Tresha earned her master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the Florida State University and her specialist’s degree in educational leadership from East Carolina University with additional graduate study from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
