Hotel and Transportation Information


Hotel 


Connections Housing will act as the booking agent for all contracted conference hotels. To reserve a room, please call (404) 844-4404 or (800) 262-9974 or visit the online reservation system at https://resweb.passkey.com/go/HSTW. As is standard practice, hotels will require a one-night deposit for each room reservation. Refunds will be given only if cancellations are made at least seven days prior to the scheduled date of arrival. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, June 5, 2013, in order to receive the SREB room rate. It is advisable to reserve your rooms early, as the SREB block tends to sell out quickly. By June 5, 2013, each room must list each occupant’s name and a valid method of payment for the one-night deposit. Credit cards and checks are considered valid methods of payment; school purchase orders will not be accepted.

SREB has partnered with Delta Air Lines to provide discounted fares. You can access the discounted rates for individual and/or group flights through the SREB Delta Meeting Network. The Meeting ID is: NG8FN.

Reservations and ticketing are available at www.delta.com or by calling the Delta Meeting Network Reservations at (800)-328-1111 (a Direct Ticketing Charge will apply for booking by phone). If you book online, select Book a Trip, click on More Search Options (located under Find Flights). Find the Meeting Event Code box and enter the Meeting ID in the box provided.


Sprinter Bus

The new hybrid-electric Sprinter is the go-to green connection from Center City to Charlotte Douglas International Airport with stops at several central locations. The Sprinter Bus runs every 20 minutes during weekdays and every 30 minutes during nights and weekends, with stops at convenient locations within Center City. The cost of the Sprinter Bus is $2 each way. Children under five ride free. You can contact Sprinter Bus by phone at (704) 336-RIDE.

Taxicabs

Taxi service is available curbside, on the Baggage Claim level. An attendant is on duty to assist passengers from 6:45 a.m. – 12:15 a.m. Although passengers may prearrange to use any taxi service provider, there are three taxi companies available through the Airport’s taxi queue: City Cab, Crown Cab and Yellow Cab. These companies are evaluated annually to ensure all taxis have a GPS system, credit card technology and adhere to guidelines set forth by CLT.
