Accounting Coordinator, School Improvement

Summary

The accounting coordinator works closely with the vice president monthly to monitor budget and expenditures. The ideal candidate must establish and maintain internal and external relationships with School Improvement directors, SREB Accounting and Human Resources departments, and local school districts’ financial departments. The accounting coordinator assures that funds are utilized with good stewardship to deliver services agreed upon in grants and protects the good name of SREB in working with a range of customers.

Summary

This position provides accounting and administrative support to the director and manager of the accounting office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable, general ledger and journal entries. This individual may also handle financial statements, fixed assets and reports.

Data Analyst/Research Associate, Education Data Services

This detail-oriented individual works closely with the director of education data services to collect, analyze, organize and display data and information for the SREB State Data Exchange, SREB Fact Book on Higher Education and related state-specific publications and web-based products.

Policy Analyst

Position Description

SREB seeks an experienced policy analyst with a proven track-record in analyzing education data and policy and in communicating complex policy issues to a variety of constituencies. The successful candidate will be able to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate complex education policy issues clearly.
