Erica Breann McCrae, Ph.D., was born and raised in Douglas, Georgia where she graduated from high school in 2006 as the top African American student in her class. McCrae completed her undergraduate studies at Valdosta State University in just three years, earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in sociology. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she began her career with AT&T as a store manager, later taking on roles as chief of staff and project manager, all while completing her MBA from the University of Phoenix.

In 2019, McCrae earned her doctoral degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. In December 2023, she graduated with dual degrees — a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in practical theology — from Columbia Theological Seminary.

She spent 14 years at AT&T/Cricket before becoming the CEO of Homewatch Caregivers of McDonough, a home care agency she opened in 2022.

Between balancing roles as a wife, mother and businesswoman, McCrae is deeply passionate about her faith, her church and empowering women to reach their full potential. In addition to her professional pursuits, she serves on the executive boards of the National Council of Negro Women, Top Ladies of Distinction, and the NAACP.

In April 2020, McCrae founded God’s Purpose Over Everything, a women’s ministry dedicated to helping women uncover their God-given purpose while deepening their faith. The nonprofit was restructured and is now The Entrepreneur’s Pen Corporation as of February 2024, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, expanding its reach to serve women in business and ministry.
