As a workforce development specialist, Kim Weaver has the privilege of leading Georgia Power’s workforce efforts across 80 different counties. She works daily connecting businesses and educational institutions to create a 21st-century workforce that mirrors the diversity of the company’s customers and communities.

Weaver started with Georgia Power in 1994 as a customer service representative in the Columbus, Georgia office. Over the past 31 years, she has held various roles, including sales executive, managed accounts representative, energy efficiency representative and supervisor in the workforce and education team.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Weaver is committed to community service. She serves as past chair of the Columbus Technical College Foundations Board; she is a board member of the Harris County Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as chair of the Jordan High School College and Career Academy Foundation.

Weaver holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Columbus State University. She has been happily married to Donnie Weaver for 25 years, and they have two wonderful children, Luke (22) and Clay (20). She is an avid gardener, cyclist and baker.
