Malaak Gordon
Panelist, Opening Student Panel

Post

Malaak Gordon is a senior at Union Grove High School and the Academy for Advanced Studies. Gordon is president of the AAS Student Board of Directors and president of Future Business Leaders of America, while also being an active member of the Future Farmers of America and an AAS Ambassador.

Malaak leads two school-based enterprises — Barks and Bubbles, where she is the lead dog groomer, and Academy Embroidery, where she serves as the lead manager. Through these roles, she has gained valuable hands-on experience in leadership, business operations and customer service.

An accomplished AP and Honors student, Gordon has completed both the Veterinary Science and Entrepreneurship pathways at AAS. She is also a former captain of her high school soccer team and remains committed to fostering student engagement and leadership throughout her school community.

The Academy for Advanced Studies has played a transformative role in Gordon’s personal and professional development. Once hesitant to speak in public and unsure of her leadership potential, she credits AAS with believing in her, challenging her, and helping her grow into a confident and capable leader.

Gordon plans to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Georgia. She is deeply grateful to God, her family and the Academy for Advanced Studies for preparing her to lead, serve and succeed.
