What’s included in conference registration fees?

Your registration fee includes admission to all conference sessions and the Education Marketplace, refreshment breaks and hot lunches on Wednesday and Thursday.

Spouse/guest registrations only include admission to the Education Marketplace, lunches and coffee or refreshment breaks.

Optional in-person industry tours carry a separate fee.

May my spouse or another guest attend the conference?

Yes! We encourage attendees to bring spouses or family to the in-person conference.

If you would like your spouse/guest to have access to our Education Marketplace hall, coffee and refreshment breaks, and lunches, please register them using our $100 Spouse/Guest registration option.

When will the 2025 conference program be available?

A complete conference program will be available in Spring 2025.

Will there be a printed program in 2025?

While a printed program with full session details will not be provided, we will provide a printed Schedule at a Glance at the conference venue. 

Is there a conference mobile app?

Yes. The SREB Events app can be found in the app store. If downloaded early, the app will need to be removed and added again at conference time for updated functionality.

When does 2025 registration open?

Registration is now open. Please visit our registration site to register today.  

How much does it cost to attend?

How much does it cost to stay in SREB’s official conference hotels?

Please check our Conference Hotel page for rates.

Connections Housing acts as the booking agent for our contracted conference hotel. To reserve a room, call Connections at (404) 842-0000 OR visit Connections’ website.

I am driving. How much will it cost to park at the hotel?

We will provide parking rates closer to the conference date. 

When does the conference begin and end?

The 2025 conference will run from July 15-18, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana. 

I have not received confirmation of my registration. What should I do?

Send us an email with your request for confirmation.

How do I make changes to my conference registration?

Visit our Attendee Service Center with the login and password that were emailed to you or email us for assistance.

I would like to present a session, too. What do I need to do?

Our proposal submission system for 2025 is now open. We invite you to learn more about our conference objectives and session types and check out our Submission FAQ so that you can prepare a session for our 2025 conference in New Orleans!

I am a presenter. What do I need to do?

All presenters must:

  • Align sessions with a conference objective.
  • Provide your school and summer contact information.
  • Provide your job title, position, school, district and state.
  • Agree to present at your scheduled time.
  • Bring your own laptop and any special AV connectors to your session. Projectors will be available in all meeting rooms.
  • Arrange and pay for your travel and lodging.
  • Register and pay your conference registration fee.

SREB asks presenters to participate in a mandatory presenters webinar to learn more about the conference and how to present successfully.

I registered but can’t attend. May someone else go in my place?

Yes! Please send an email requesting the change that includes the registrant’s name and the new attendee’s name and complete contact information.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

You may cancel your conference registration up to June 1, 2025, without penalty. Our cancellation fee is $200 after June 1. Beyond this date, SREB will consider extraordinary circumstances for cancellation on a case-by-case basis.

What types of payments are acceptable?

Our eShow registration system accepts MasterCard, Visa and Discover. If you wish to pay with a check or purchase order, please send payment to:

Is there a registration deadline?

No. Online registration will remain open throughout the event.

Is payment due before the conference?

Payments should be made at the time of registration but can also be made or updated in our Attendee Service Center using the login and password that were emailed to you when you registered.

Is payment still due even though I did not attend the conference?

Yes, you are responsible for either the full registration fee or a cancellation fee.

I need special accommodations at the conference. What do I do?

We will have more information about special accommodations along with other hotel information as the conference draws nearer.

I attended the 2024 conference. How do I get my certificate of participation?

What is your COVID-19 policy?

By attending the 2025 Making Schools Work Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, you agree to adhere to health and safety requests made by venue personnel and not attend the conference if you are ill or have been recently exposed to a known or suspected case of COVID-19. If you should become ill during or after the conference, or know of an attendee who has become ill, please contact a member of SREB’s Conference Team or email summerconference@sreb.org immediately. SREB will notify local health authorities of suspected cases of COVID-19 while protecting the confidentiality of your personal health information. Attendees who prefer to wear masks and socially distance are encouraged to do so.

What is SREB’s communications permission and release policy?

In consideration of registering for a Southern Regional Education Board conference, event or training session, participants grant SREB permission to record, videotape and photograph their images or voices and to use, reproduce, publish and display their names, photographs, video images or quoted material in any format or media including, without limitation, printed and electronic publications and materials, press releases, webpages, internet publications and other publications, materials, information and communications, at its discretion, for purposes consistent with its mission and nonprofit status. By registering, participants agree that they are not entitled to receive, and waive any right to, compensation for any such use of their images or voices. Participants who wish to opt out should notify SREB conference, event or training session staff.

What is SREB’s data policy?

When you register for the Making Schools Work Conference or similar SREB events or services, we request information to identify you uniquely and gather aggregate information about your use of our conference and event resources.

We will never sell your information to another organization. We use your information only to improve the quality of our conference and other resources and to contact you with updates.

How can I convince the decision makers to approve my attendance?
