Tiffany K. Harrison Named Director of SREB Doctoral Scholars Program
Tiffany K. Harrison, Ph.D., has been named director of the Southern Regional Education Board’s State Doctoral Scholars Program. She was promoted to the role after working with the Doctoral Scholars Program under the leadership of founding director, Ansley A. Abraham, who retired July 1.
“I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Harrison and in her abilities,” Abraham said. “She’s learned the inner workings of the program and the philosophies that I have applied, and under her leadership, the Doctoral Scholars Program will move to the next level.”
“It has been an honor and privilege
to work under the leadership of Dr. Abraham,” Harrison said. “I
am looking forward to continuing his legacy and guiding the
Doctoral Scholars Program into the future.”
She joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2017, working in policy and research on topics including educational technology and college- and career-readiness standards. She joined the Doctoral Scholars Program in 2022, managing scholar support services. She leads the postsecondary instruction subcommittee of the SREB Commission on AI in Education.
Prior to SREB, Harrison held positions with the North Carolina Partnership for Children and the SERVE Center at UNC-Greensboro.
