Representative Richard Bennett of Long Beach and Senator Dennis DeBar of Leakesville serve on the Council by virtue of being legislative members of the Board. Senator Briggs Hopson of Vicksburg and Representative Kent McCarty of Hattiesburg are gubernatorial appointees to the Council.
