Sheniqua Pierce joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2023 as an analyst on the educator workforce team in the Office of State Strategy, Policy, Research and Evaluation. She collects and analyzes federal, state and local data about the educator pipeline and current P-12 educators, and leads qualitative educator research projects

Pierce brings nearly a decade of experience as an educator in public schools across Atlanta. Prior to joining SREB, she was an elementary special education teacher across grades pre-K through fifth before working as a graduate research assistant at Georgia State with preservice and in-service teachers. She holds a bachelor’s of science in early childhood education and a master’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics from Georgia State University and is currently pursuing her PhD.
