In September, the SREB-State Doctoral Scholars Program hosted a series of of two professional development sessions focusing on the Fulbright Fellowship.

In the first session, DSP hosted Dr. Donathan Brown, Assistant Provost, Assistant Vice President and Associate Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in an information session about applying for a Fulbright Scholar Award. Dr. Brown is a former US Fulbright Professor to Slovenia and current US Fulbright Scholar Alumni Ambassador.

Dr. Donathan Brown Dr. Donathan Brown, Assistant Provost, Assistant Vice President and Associate Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology, is also a former US Fulbright Professor to Slovenia and current US Fulbright Scholar Alumni Ambassador. In his role at RIT, Dr. Brown oversees the Office of Faculty Diversity and Recruitment, and places particular emphasis on recruiting historically underrepresented faculty and providing strategic guidance to support retention related efforts. In his role with Fulbright, Dr. Brown places particular emphasis on recruiting prospective Fulbright applicants from racially underserved communities.
