Arkansas Department of Education is offering the  Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Math Ready and Literacy Ready workshops for schools desiring the required training.  High School teachers completing the course will receive a $50 per day stipend for travel expenses.

Technology Requirements

Each participant will need a laptop or tablet for this professional development and is required to download materials and become familiar with the curriculum prior to the training.

Literacy Ready Requirements

Participants should read the following books before attending training: The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains by Nicholas Carr and Ubik by Philip K. Dick.

 Teachers may register to attend through their educational service cooperative accounts.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
