SREB’s Summer Conferences feature over 500 sessions that go to the heart of K-12 educational challenges, such as ensuring equitable access to quality learning and addressing the effects of poverty. This year’s events will be held July 8-13 in the Hilton Baltimore and the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
- The College- and Career-Readiness Standards Networking Conference (July 8-10) focuses on powerful literacy and math practices that enhance students’ content knowledge and reasoning skills.
- The Making Schools Work Conference (July 10-13), formerly known as the High Schools That Work Staff Development Conference, brings K-12 educators together to share promising practices for advancing students’ engagement and achievement.
SREB’s State Leaders Forum convenes legislators, policymakers, state board members, secondary and postsecondary education leaders, and workforce development agency representatives to explore policies that help youth graduate from high school with a head start on the postsecondary credentials they need to secure good jobs in high-demand fields.
The National Technology Centers That Work Leaders Forum brings state and local career and technical education leaders together to network and share promising practices for addressing the needs of their diverse students and communities.
