SECRRA Dissolve Date
June 2017: SECRRA No Longer Needed with National Reciprocity Agreement

Post

The regional reciprocity agreement associated with SREB’s Electronic Campus Regional Reciprocity Agreement (SECRRA) dissolved June 30, 2017. Courses and programs listed on the Electronic Campus that students completed by June 30, 2017, through SECRRA, benefited from the reciprocity agreement of SECRRA. Courses and programs that students began after June 30, 2017, were not covered by SECRRA-based agreements.

SECRRA’s discontinuation on June 30, 2017, affected Academic Common Market and Electronic Campus program participation in that states were required to join SARA and institutions had to be participants in SARA for online programs to be covered by the Academic Common Market Agreement. Institutions in SREB states that had not joined SARA by June 30, 2017, were required to seek authorization from all states, including those in the SREB region. Institutions were encouraged to obtain this information from the authorizing agency in each state.
