Beth Day joined the Southern Region Education Board in 2012, bringing 25 years of experience leading strategic communications in education and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining SREB, Beth served as vice president of the Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education.
Veronica Johnson joined the Southern Regional Education Board’s Communications department in 2017 as the digital communications specialist. She manages SREB.org content, social media and analytics. Veronica joined SREB in 2014 as the administrative assistant/research associate for the Learning-Centered Leadership Program. Prior to SREB, she was a newsroom information specialist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and a freelance writer. Veronica holds a bachelor’s in mass media arts with a concentration in journalism from Clark Atlanta University.
Lety Jones joined the Southern Regional Education Board as administrative assistant to the communications director in 1991. She has served as senior designer and production manager for more than 15 years. She received a bachelor’s in marketing from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.

David Raney joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2017. He has been a writer and editor with Emory University, Habitat for Humanity International, and Quail Pointe Publishing. He has also taught in middle school and college, serving on the English faculty of Emory, William & Mary, the State University of West Georgia, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He holds a master’s degree from William & Mary and a doctorate from Emory.
