Jon Schmidt-Davis is a researcher, writer and program manager working in the Development and Innovation division of SREB’s Office of School Improvement.

His current projects include serving as program manager for a postsecondary career pathways program serving rural students in West Virginia, and supporting the NSF’s DRK12 resource center. Jon’s areas of research expertise include school leadership, educator workforce preparation and induction, and career pathways.

Prior to joining SREB in 2008 Jon’s career included working for the North Carolina Department of Instruction in its testing program; working as an education research analyst at RTI International; and serving as a classroom social studies teacher in North Carolina.
