Thank you for your interest in applying for the SREB Doctoral Scholars Program Fellowship. Below you will find information that will help you in the application process. Be sure to visit each page to determine the type of award you should apply for, if your institution is participating, and if you are eligible to apply.
Please be advised that due to circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus, the application deadline for the SREB-State Doctoral Scholars Program Fellowship has been extended to April 30, 2020. We understand the challenges that you may face as campuses around the nation adjust operations.
Application is only available online.
Most SREB member states participate in the Doctoral Scholars Program. Scholars are funded in part by these states. Only universities committed to the program’s goals sponsor doctoral scholars.
In addition, individual universities may fund scholars to participate in the SREB Doctoral Scholars Program.
Application materials will be available beginning January 10, 2020. The deadline to apply has been extended to 11:59 p.m. EST on April 30, 2020.
The SREB-State Doctoral Scholars Program offers two awards to students who are pursuing Ph.D.s and plan to become college and university professors. If you are eligible, you are invited to apply for one of these awards.
