Our induction programs, services, data and policies are grounded in this framework. It is based on published research and data, as well as many years of SREB experience with novice teachers through our induction programs and school improvement services.
The SREB Teacher Induction Framework defines high-quality teacher induction and details four components necessary for well-rounded support from leadership, mentor teachers, coaches and professional development providers. The ultimate goals: improved student outcomes, better teacher retention and stronger teacher self-efficacy, or belief in their ability to handle the challenges of the job.
