Megan Boren joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2010, bringing five years of education and workforce policy experience. She currently serves as a program specialist focusing on educator effectiveness policy research, implementation and state technical assistance. At SREB, Megan has also worked on college completion and college-readiness policy and research. She previously led the SREB Readiness Courses initiative. Prior to joining SREB, Megan served as the education and workforce development policy advisor to former governor of Virginia, Timothy M. Kaine. She is a two-time graduate of Virginia Tech and holds a bachelor’s in political science and master’s in public administration and policy. She resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
