Megan Boren joined the Southern Regional Education Board in 2010, bringing five years of education and workforce policy experience. She currently serves as the coordinator of state engagement and policy for the educator effectiveness team and focuses on policy research, educator evaluation implementation and technical assistance. At SREB, Megan has also worked on college completion and college-readiness policy and research. She previously led the SREB Readiness Courses initiative. Prior to SREB, Megan served as the education and workforce development policy advisor to former governor of Virginia, Timothy M. Kaine. She is a two-time graduate of Virginia Tech and holds a bachelor’s in political science and master’s in public administration and policy. She resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
