Local Training

SREB can provide training for school districts interested in implementing Readiness Courses. SREB recommends four days of training for schools, with additional online follow-up support for teachers as they implement the program.

Online Follow-up Training

SREB provides online support for teachers during the implementation of Readiness Courses. Connecting teachers to an SREB master trainer and to fellow teachers in their region ensures a quality experience for teachers and their students.

2019 State Training

Alabama

SREB will provide trainings for the Ready for High School and Ready for College courses June 18-20 in Montgomery, Alabama. Schools interested in attending the training need to contact Carolyn Jones at the Alabama Department of Education. After completing an application, schools will be sent the information needed to register for the training.

Arkansas

The Arkansas Department of Education will be providing trainings for the Ready for College courses in June and July 2019. These trainings are available to schools in Arkansas interested in implementing the courses. For more information and training dates, contact the Arkansas Department of Education.

Georgia

SREB will provide trainings for Georgia schools interested in implementing College Readiness Composition and College Readiness Mathematics. The trainings will be held June 18-20 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. To register for these trainings, schools should contact the Georgia Department of Education.

Mississippi

The Mississippi Department of Education will be providing trainings for the Ready for College courses in July 2019. These trainings are available to schools in Mississippi interested in implementing the courses, Essentials of College Literacy and Essentials of College Math. Additional information is coming soon. For more information, contact the Mississippi Department of Education.

Oklahoma

SREB will provide trainings for schools in Oklahoma interested in implementing the SREB Ready courses. The trainings will be held June 3-5, with a Ready for High School math training in Tulsa, a Math Ready training in Midwest City, and a training for the literacy courses in Yukon. To register for one of the math trainings, complete the Oklahoma math training registration form.
